Owner and Executive Chef
Tim van Ee
Chef Tim van Ee, originally from the Netherlands, is the executive chef and owner of Flavors on Fire, a cooking studio located in Katy, Texas. His culinary journey began with a passion for rustic European dishes, influenced by neighboring countries such as France, Germany, Spain, and Italy. This foundation expanded as he explored bold flavors from Asian cuisines, including Thai, Indian, and Vietnamese, during his travels. At Flavors on Fire, Chef Tim combines these diverse culinary traditions, offering hands-on cooking classes and chef's table dinners that showcase a fusion of European, Asian, and American flavors, all prepared over an open fire.

Ryan Keys
Chef Ryan Keys, originally from Arkansas, is a distinguished culinary professional specializing in live fire cooking and bread baking. Chef Ryan met Chef Tim for the first time when Flavors on Fire had a giveaway for a virtual class that Chef Ryan luckily won! Chef Ryan fell in love with the idea of teaching and interacting with foodies like himself. Ryans barbeque journey is marked by various victories in local BBQ competitions. These accolades make him a perfect sous chef for the live fire cooking done at Flavors on Fire. What truly drives Chef Ryan is the social aspect of dining. “I love learning from Chef Tim and Chef Shannon during our tasting menus. I especially enjoy sharing the recipes and techniques that make restaurant quality possible at home. Because you can’t have a good party without good food.”

Chef Shannon Sheikhi is a seasoned culinary professional at Flavors on Fire, known for her deep-rooted influences from Turkish and Persian cuisine. Drawing from her heritage and years of hands-on experience, Shannon brings a rich tapestry of bold spices, aromatic herbs, and traditional cooking methods to her dishes. Before joining Flavors on Fire, she served as executive chef at several acclaimed restaurants, where she refined her skills in both fine dining and contemporary kitchens. At Flavors on Fire, Shannon fuses her cultural background with innovative techniques, creating vibrant, flavorful dishes that celebrate the essence of Middle Eastern cuisine with a modern twist.
